To celebrate the Occult 111th Night I got carried away by Paulo Coelho.
You can see the egg-shaped Stone and a small bottle of the Elixir among
other nice objects.

These 14-storey apartment houses were a symbol of Modern Times when
they were built in early 80's. I'm not being dramatic or anything.

I went to celebrate my best friend's birthday.
We stuffed ourselves with great home made food
and then sat down to watch a movie.

Night 100 - Portrait Theme Week #5 & well, effin 100th Night!!!

It's 100th Night and I'm awfully proud for my project.
I got 0 (zero [nada]) answers to my Night 100 contest so I'll post whatever I want and drink the awful coffee myself. As usual.

Night 97 - Portrait Theme Week #2

So, why I like to shoot photos without people? Well at least I don't depend on people actually being there when agreed. 

So this night's model not only didn't show up, she also blocked me from Facebook. Well I'm sorry I agreed to shoot you when you offered yourself to come.. my bad.

From now on I won't bother to use teenage amateurs, especially when every more experienced model I have contacted have agreed to work with me. 

Which is really great and I look forward to working with them.

Since it's not easy to find backup model in the middle of the night, here you have a portrait of the Working Mother statue (familiar from Night 5):

Night 95

Self portrait time again.
Obviously this required some Photoshop,
but I tried to keep manipulation as minimal as possible.
Only some cropping, scaling and blending done on the smaller me.
Everything else left as it was photographed.

Night 94

Tonight I went to listen & watch some asskicking blues bands at Sture 21.
Music is perhaps my weakest spot and these Blues Virtuosos were just so damn good that photography had to wait. Guys in their 50's playing like it was their last opportunity before Global Nuclear Holocaust.

Night 93

This building in the corner of Aleksis Kiven katu and Kotkankatu is covered
in plastic during renovation. I like it how  they've also put lights in there, it
looks fascinatingly sci-fi by night.

I had so much fun doing last night's double self portrait so I decided
to do another one. This time a bit more aggressive.

Night 84

Something a bit different. I've been very interested in
portrait photography, but since there aren't anybody else
to shoot, I thought I'd shoot myself, twice.

Obviously, this required some photoshopping,
which I haven't used in any of previous night photos.
I tried not to do anything that wasn't necessary to
combine two shots, so lighting, brightness and contrast
are all natural, straight from camera.

Night 83

I was so tired last night I couldn't download photos, I just fell in bed. 

Which was good, since I haven't got as good 8-hour sleep as this since, well, long time.
